The subject of the MEPER BLOW MOLDING project is a traditional 20L stacking bucket weighing 1050 grams. The goal is quite challenging: to achieve a weight reduction of approximately 20% -25% without affecting any performance parameters.

The design of the cold cutter of MEPER blow molding needs to be determined based on the bottle shape. For example, for small bottles under 1L, a retractable cold cutter is generally used; for 1L-5L bottles, a closed cold cutter is adopted; for 5L-30L bottles, a closed cross-cutter design is used, and so on.
From a technical perspective, in the application of PE materials, cold cutters can completely replace hot cutters, and they are more stable, easier to maintain, and have a longer service life. In principle, MEPER blow molding prefers to design with cold cutting methods
Thermal cutting knives indeed pose multiple safety hazards in practical operation. For instance, if the blade breaks and gets stuck in the mold, it can cause equipment damage.
MEPER blow molding has taken full-scenario safety protection as its core research and development philosophy from the very beginning of its design, and has established a multi-layered redundant safety system.
Meper showed three-layer blow molding machine MP120FD-8 at CHINAPLAS 2026 in Shanghai in April, adopts "PE/PP - PCR recycled layer - PE/PP" structure. It ensures uniform and symmetrical wall thickness of each layer through precise parison control system and supports the addition of recycled materials.
Overall, PCR recycled materials exhibit certain disadvantages in chemical properties compared to virgin materials, primarily in terms of molecular structure stability, impurity content, and thermochemical resistance.
MEPER BLOW MOLDING have taken the lead in collaboratively developing a series of packaging based on PCR material applications, covering recycled materials such as rHDPE, with application ratios ranging from 0 to 100%.
