MEPER BLOW MOLDING have taken the lead in collaboratively developing a series of packaging based on PCR material applications, covering recycled materials such as rHDPE, with application ratios ranging from 0 to 100%. The products are available in transparent, pure white, and various other colors.
Initially, the products often suffered from issues such as slight yellowing, color deviation, and weak impact resistance.
Through continuous technical exploration, we have found corresponding solutions in terms of equipment, mold, and process optimization. The delivered products also exhibit good appearance and functional characteristics:
(1) Equipment adjustment: Optimize the screw design, utilize a specialized screw structure, enhance the plasticizing and mixing effects, and reduce the damage caused by shear heat to the material; precisely control the melting temperature and pressure to avoid overheating and degradation of the material, maintaining the integrity of its molecular chain.
(2) Mold design improvement: Given the different expansion coefficients between rHDPE and regular HDPE, optimize the die structure accordingly. The mold cooling system needs to adapt to the heat dissipation characteristics of PCR materials, increasing the density of cooling water circuits to accelerate solidification and prevent bottle deformation caused by uneven cooling. For materials with a high proportion of recycled content, appropriately enlarge the mold vent hole size to prevent bubble formation.
